First of all, to clarify that I dislike the term magick but I had to use it for a better understanding of the title. From here on though I will use the term magic.

so...

For years among the people here I have heard all sorts of things and interpretations. Magic is this and that, it is something you feel deep inside you and in the nature around you, magic is finding your higher self and...

NO. This is not magic, this is imagination and/or feelings... perhaps some mental development at best.

Magic is not a feeling, it is not a belief, it is not an art, it is not an exact science (not always) and it is definitely not a religion. Magic is a practice, it is a craft and a "field" of applied techniques.

Magic does not require strong beliefs, it does not require a faith, prayer, a god, a goddess, an initiation, morals, loving nature, being spiritual, having an altar or even to believe in magic. Magic requires intelligence, pursuit, willpower, skill, talent, hard work, knowledge, competence, dexterity, realism and the proper techniques.

Therefore, when one is using or doing magic, they do not wish, believe, pray ,or imagine (at least not exactly). They use their skill, knowledge, willpower and natural talent to create the desirable outcome and/or alterations on the fabric of reality.
